Printed Metro. Showplate only.

Flat black printed lettering in our Metro character style, using the supplied METRO 50mm BM font with 50 mm high characters. For display/off-road use only; not offered for road use.

Choose your plates

£20 for a single front white or rear yellow plate. £40 for a front and rear pair. Choose your exact text, spacing and stock width in the builder. Shortened, tint and fade options use the same per-plate upgrades as our other finishes.

Check your text

Your entered text and spaces are kept as entered. Confirm the spelling, spacing and sizes before ordering. Metro is always configured as a showplate.

Sizing & fitting

Choosing a shortened plate

Standard is 520 × 111 mm. Shortened widths are 470, 409, 348 and 287 mm. The full registration must fit; the builder checks the available options. Measure your mounting space before choosing a shorter width.

  1. Measure the usable mounting area on the front and rear of your car separately.
  2. Enter your exact registration in the builder. Shortened options depend on the complete lettering and required spacing fitting.
  3. Check each selected width against your mounting area before ordering. A shorter plate does not change the size of the registration characters.

Fitting & care

Check the registration, finish and plate sizes before fitting. Use fixings suitable for your vehicle and follow their fitting instructions. For adhesive pads, the plate backing and mounting surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Do not place screws through the registration characters.

Check your plates before fitting. Clean gently with a soft cloth and check that both plates remain securely attached.

Before we make your plates

Check your registration and front/rear choices carefully before ordering. A single selection includes one front or rear plate; front + rear includes a pair. You are buying physical plates, not the registration entitlement.

Showplate orders do not use the road-use document upload. Confirm your exact text, spacing and sizes in the builder before ordering.

Delivery & warranty

Dispatch & delivery

We aim for same-day dispatch and 24–48-hour UK delivery once your order and required document checks are confirmed. These are aims, not guaranteed dates. Free standard UK delivery on number plates and magnetic holder kits. Express delivery is available at checkout.

Production follows confirmation of your showplate order and exact text.

Six-month warranty

If there is a problem with your plates, email PLATESPEC with your order number and photos so we can assess it under your six-month warranty.
