PLATESPEC SOFTWARE · COMING SOON
Plate design software built around the way your workshop works.
From a standard car plate to a motorcycle blank or a branded dealer layout, bring the details together in one focused Windows workspace. Choose your stock, set the lettering, position your artwork and review the print.
DESIGNED FOR THE WORKSHOP
Keep the setup you use often. Change the details that make each plate different.
Start with car, motorcycle, short, oversized and import presets, or enter a custom size. See millimetres and approximate inches together. The stock choice helps select the line layout.
Add the registration and workshop branding. Position text and logos visually, use alignment tools and expand the editor when you want more room to work.
Check the artwork, media dimensions and calibration status in one place. Reuse printer positioning and saved layouts to reduce repeated setup.

THE SIZE IS ONLY THE START
A stock preset gives you a starting point. Advanced controls let you work through the finer details without filling your everyday screen with measurements.
Choosing a blank does not determine road-use eligibility. Finished plate requirements still need to be checked.
SMALL DETAILS. LESS FRICTION.
Organise layouts in folders for businesses, stock types or workshop tasks. Save the geometry and settings you need. If you choose to save branding or a complete design, explicitly approve the identifying text and artwork included.
Drag text and images onto the preview, resize them with handles and align them with guides. The expanded editor gives you a larger canvas; finer position controls remain available when a job needs them.
Registration, stock, border and artwork controls stay close together. Switch to Advanced for spacing, font styling, strip gaps and other precise adjustments. Both views work on the same design.
There is no automatic plate history in the designer. Uploaded images and identifying text stay in the working session unless you approve saving them. Reusable settings can be saved separately.
The current designer includes a built-in plate lettering setup and familiar Windows dealer-text font choices. Import your own licensed TTF or OTF fonts, assign them to lettering profiles and retain your selections in layouts.
Keep multiple printer profiles, adjust positioning and calibrate the output for your own hardware and media. The preview shows artwork; a measured test print confirms the physical result.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
The current designer has a built-in plate lettering setup and uses familiar Windows font choices for dealer text. You can also load your own licensed TTF or OTF fonts. The final bundled production font set will be confirmed before launch. A font selection alone does not certify a road-use plate.
The layout tools cover car, motorcycle and import blanks, including custom dimensions. Reduced import lettering depends on the vehicle meeting the relevant eligibility conditions; selecting an import blank does not by itself establish eligibility.
Yes. Add your dealer name and postcode, custom text and image artwork. Position them on the preview and adjust their size and alignment. Save a reusable business layout only when you approve the branding and images it contains.
PLATESPEC uses printer profiles and a compatible Windows driver, with positioning and calibration controls. Compatibility must be verified with your printer, ribbon and media. A software profile is a starting point, not a guarantee for every printer model.
No automatic plate history is kept in the designer. Identifying text and uploaded artwork stay in the session unless you explicitly approve saving them in a layout or complete design. Licensing and billing information is separate from plate artwork.
PLATESPEC Software is being prepared for launch. Monthly and annual plans are set up, but checkout is not yet open. Contact us if you would like to discuss your workshop requirements.
